From Times Herald-Record:
GOSHEN — The people of Goshen are hungry for a new supermarket. And at a public hearing on the Goshen Plaza project Tuesday night, every speaker said it couldn’t come soon enough.
After the hearing, the village planning board, acting on a request from the project’s developer, Fareri Associates, unanimously voted to give conditional site plan approval to move forward with the proposal.
“I didn’t expect it,” said Fareri representative Neil DeLuca after the meeting. “But we’re very happy.”
The developers had been working with the town’s engineers and lawyers to meet concerns about traffic, drainage, noise and lighting, which led to the board’s decision that the project wouldn’t have significant environmental impact. The board did, however, tell the developers they needed a detailed phasing plan for construction.
