Goshen Plaza Development Team Retains Pyramid Brokerage to Handle Retail Tenant Inquiries

GOSHEN, N.Y. (January 29, 2019) – Award-winning Hudson Valley Developer, Fareri Associates, LP, has enlisted the services of Pyramid Brokerage Company to field retail inquiries and identify new tenants for its All-New Goshen Plaza. Pyramid Brokerage Company is part of the Cushman & Wakefield Alliance, a fully integrated extension of the C&W global platform. Pyramid Brokerage Company agent John Coladonato will be providing seller and landlord representation to fill more than 49,900 square feet of premium retail space on the site between Clowes Avenue and Matthews Street in Goshen.

Fareri Associates presented its proposal for the Goshen Plaza to the Village of Goshen Planning Board on January 22. The plan represents a comprehensive restructuring of the 13-acre site. Two anchor retailers are already in negotiations with the development team, including a top brand supermarket and standalone CVS pharmacy with drive-thru service. Fareri Associates, who assumed sole ownership and management of the property in May 2018, are performing necessary upkeep of the site’s parking lot until the approval process has been completed.

“Our hope is that this proposal will garner the necessary approvals to move ahead within the next three months,” said Fareri Associates representative Neil DeLuca. “That would allow us to have the pharmacy up and running by fall 2020 and the supermarket by fall 2021. We anticipate tremendous interest in the remaining spaces, based on the strength of our anchors and the community’s excitement for this long-awaited project.”

The Fareri Associates plan under consideration by the Village includes three move-in ready buildings and three fully-equipped pad sites. It also includes modernized utilities, new stormwater collection system and a completely regraded and resurfaced parking lot. Current zoning at the site permits all mixed-use retail, typical of most shopping centers, which opens the door for a wide variety of suitors.

Coladonato brings nearly three decades of real estate brokerage expertise in Orange County to the project team. He has been with Cushman & Wakefield/Pyramid Brokerage Company since 2009, focusing primarily on retail leasing. He has completed lease and sales transactions exceeding 874,614 square feet and valued at more than $60.6 million.
